Welcome to

Théâtre du Monde

You might be asking "Who are they and where do they come from?" Well, here's a snapshot : We're all artists on the lookout for exciting new stories to share around the world! That probably means we're very much like you!

Fawn Wilderson-Legros, Founder / Director

Fawn_Crespieres_Thumbnail.jpegWhile travelling in France, Germany, Italy and Cameroun in the 1980's, Fawn experienced fantastic theatre wonderfully written and performed by amazing artists. Many of these presentations were done in small towns and distant locales and would never be experienced by the rest of the world. She started thinking of the artists who had amazing stories to tell that would never reach an audience beyond the boundaries of their villages and small cities. This was the real tragedy, the real drama!! With no viable means of turning these funny, outrageous, sometimes tragic, but always engaging stories into films that could travel the world, the stories would die "sur place". Years later, having worked extensively as an actress, director and attorney, in both the theatre and film industries, Fawn was still haunted by the prospect of all those wonderfully imaginative, creative stories whose time before an audience had been so short-lived. In response, she create Théâtre du Monde, who's missions is to encourage "marriages" between screenwriters from around the world and film makers and producers who have the resources help transform their stories into films that can travel ... from everywhere to everywhere else!
