How to Write Hollywood Screenplays

with Stu Samuels

Saturday, May 24th, 2008, at WICE of Paris

What are the secret ingredients of the world’s most successful movies? This one-day seminar -- taught by a Hollywood movie and TV executive, producer and writer -- will show you how to create and write good Hollywood screenplays, from desirable marketing concepts to the details of story design and Hollywood-style screenwriting.

Plus: How to put yourself into your movies -- your beliefs, your values, your creative visions -- to create screenplays that will make Hollywood studio executives turn the pages, laugh, cry and buy!

Stu Samuels has been a movie executive at ABC Motion Pictures, ABC Television, and Warner Bros. Television, a television-movie producer, the head of his own production company and a WGA-credited writer. The dozens of movies he has either shepherded to the big screen and TV or produced himself include “Prizzi’s Honor,” “Silkwood,” “The Flamingo Kid,” “The Day After” and “The Final Days” (based on the Woodward & Bernstein best-seller).

In the coming months, TDM will host several more forums focusing on other types of filmmaking - from "oppositional film" to European film to Bollywood and Nollywood and everything in between. Be sure to take part in all the discussions!

Stu lives and writes in Hollywood and is a frequent visitor to Paris .

Full day seminar from 10am to 5pm : 50 euros (We'll take half an hour for lunch and have two 10 minute breaks throughout the day.)
